Note: Between approximately CE 1530 and 1550, Kashmir was engulfed in political turmoil, marked by fierce rivalries between the local Chak dynasty, the Kashghari occupiers, and the Mughals under Humayun. The Mughals, who later made the Kashghari noble Haidar Dughlat their vassal, were key players in this struggle for control. During this tumultuous period, Nadir was crowned three times. Gold coins from his brief and final reign were previously unknown until this specimen emerged a few years ago. The coin's design closely mirrors those struck by Haidar Dughlat in the name of Humayun, confirming its association with Nadir's third reign.
