Note: In 1964, India discontinued the use of "Naya Paisa/Naye Paise," a term introduced in 1957 to differentiate the new decimal series from the old non-decimal (Pice & Anna) series. Starting in 1967, coins featured their values in Devanagari, replacing the term "Naye Paise." That same year marked the introduction of the 3 Paise coin in both Proof and UNC sets for the first time.

This particular proof set is of exceptional quality, retaining its original charm since issuance. Such sets have rarely appeared in auctions in this condition, with fewer than five pieces known to be in collections.
